Hi everyone
I hope you’re doing well during Melbourne’s current lockdown. I ordered great weather today on what would have been our Winton event but I just couldn’t get the planets or government to align to make it happen.
Last week I let you know that I was working with Winton operations to find another date and we have managed to reschedule our event to Sunday 7 November. The Bathurst 1000 is that weekend, as is Sandown Historics, however given the fluidity of the pandemic, it was always going to be a challenge to find a date that didn’t clash with something. We appreciate that for some competitors Bathurst is a sacred weekend and we are looking into hiring a big screen to show the race.
We will transfer Winton entries to Sunday 7 November. If you are unable to make this date, please go into your entry in MEECAMS and withdraw from the event and request a refund.
The MSCA continues to focus on getting you back on track and our next event is on 12 September at Phillip Island. We are turning our energies towards preparing for that. We all need something to look forward to, so tell the virus to bugger off and get your entries in.
In the meantime, please stay safe and well. I look forward to seeing you next month.
